My Feminine Energy Morning Routine

My simple, hyper-potent morning routine that helps me drop into + lead from my feminine energy on a daily basis.

Introduction

This post was written for the woman who has realized: more than anything, she wants peace.

She's a recovering hustler and perfectionist and while this attitude has gotten her quite far in life, it's also gotten her to a place of exhaustion - or cycles of feeling SO on fire, and then super burned out.

For most of my life, I felt a constant buzz in my body.
A subtle feeling of stress. A thousand mental tabs open 24/7.
And I struggled to relax and truly feel joy — even when I was doing “fun” things.

I hated to admit it. In fact, for a long time I refused to admit it.

I liked to be perceived as “the strong one”. The one who always has good advice for everyone and who looks like she’s got her shit together.

The issue?

Well, aside from the obvious (feeling stressed sucks!), my deep desire to be continually perceived a certain way kept adding to the stress because I felt like I constantly had to be *one* version of myself instead of just being myself.

One day, of course, I crumbled. I had to admit that my way of living was not sustainable for me. That I needed to make a change if I didn’t want to look happy, but FEEL happy.

This was in the summer of 2020. The summer that changed my entire life forever.

Since then, I’ve tried a million different morning routines because I knew looking at my phone first thing in the morning wasn’t going to support me (and never did, let’s be honest lol).

I tried waking up early, had a complex 10-step morning routine and basically everything the “gurus” tell you to do if you want to do and feel your best.

What I’ve found?

Most of that felt like the same hustle I was trying to escape from: It felt like I was performing productivity rather than connecting with myself. My morning routine no longer existed of me scrolling through my phone (yay), but it now felt like a to-do list rather than a cozy ceremony that nourishes my soul (nay).

What I’ve come to realize over the years of experimenting:

I crave simplicity.

I don’t want to make “getting into my feminine energy” another list of tasks and to do’s. I don’t want to need a 20-step morning routine to feel connected to myself (and then still need to meditate 5 times per day to STAY relaxed).

In me rose the desire to create a resource for myself, a simple guided audio that I can listen to in the morning to connect with myself, ground me, and connect me with my senses and my vision.

I didn’t want it to be much longer than 10 minutes, but really be… simple.

I wanted it to be something that just… works

Something that doesn’t feel like self-optimization, but actual self-care. Soul care.

Something that doesn’t hype me up for 10 minutes, but then leaves me feeling with that uncomfortable, buzzy feeling where we feel motivated but unable to move (you know that feeling? I know it oh so well…).

Long story short – I created this audio for myself and called it my “Feminine Energy Morning Activation” and I’ve been listening to it every day and it’s been almost uncomfortable to admit how powerful it’s been for me (since I made it and like, how loud are we allowed to toot our own horns?! lol).

I’ve been feeling so calm, grounded, and plugged into my power leading to me hearing my intuition much more clearly and, as a consequence, making much better decisions in my life and for my businesses.

It’s like I KNEW that there was more out there for me but I didn’t know how to feel connected to it more consistently. I didn’t manage to connect with the things I knew I “needed” to connect with – which again, is exactly why I created this resource for myself because nothing out there was doing the job for me.

I wanted to feel connected to myself, that “something bigger” (call it The Universe, God, whatever) and my vision – and HALLELUJAH! It’s so cool to see it working!!!

It’s not really a meditation, it’s not really an embodiment ritual. It’s like it’s own thing. An activation. Sometimes it gets me moving, sometimes I just stay still and let it works its magic on me.

Aside from that, my morning routine has become a lot more simple overall and it changes based on where I’m at (we travel full-time so location changes quite a bit for me…).

What I always do now: listen to the audio, and journal. 

That’s it. 

Sometimes, during the audio my body intuitively starts to move which I welcome, but I don’t even force myself to do Pilates in the mornings anymore. Maybe I’ll go back to it eventually, but again, I love simplicity – and currently this feels perfect for me.

Doing "feminine energy things" from masculine energy

I think my journey is very common when it comes to (re)connecting with our feminine energy: in the beginning, we’re still doing “feminine energy things” from masculine energy. We approach feminine energy from masculine energy.

I sure as hell think so.
